'Burst Points' are a numeral value that indicates the number of times individuals are capable of accelerating with brain burst. They are also used to level up your characters, purchase enhanced armaments from the shop in the Unlimited Neutral Zone, etc.
Everybody starts with 100 Burst Points.
Burst Points can be obtained in a number of ways. Such ways include:
- Fighting other duel avatars
- Fighting NPC characters
- Slaying enemies / other players / NPCs in the Unlimited Neutral Zone
- Events
Also, do not forget this rule: This is a special rule that we created to be closer to canon. Every time you challenge a player, you will have 1 BP removed at the end of your fight with him, to show that you have accelerated to fight a desired opponent while the other was simply waiting for a challenge. In the case of the Unlimited Neutral Field, you will lose 10 BP at the end of your topic, since that was the cost of entering this neutral world in canon. Also, using Physical Burst will cost you 5 BP and will be removed at the end of your real world topic as well. As a reminder, you can only use Physical Burst after reaching level 4 and that someone showed you. This also affects Physical Full Burst at level 9, which only those that were told about this command can use it.
-------------------------------------------------
The Burst Points gained from fighting other duel avatars / NPCs is dependent on your own level and your opponent's level (This also applies for the Unlimited Neutral Zone):
Victory against another duel avatar / NPCs results in a set gain. The table can be read using the level difference between the victor and his opponent.
- Example: Based on the chart, a level 2 beating a level 9 would result in a gain of 350 points for the level 2 and a loss of 175BP for level 9
- Levels 1s will have a different gain and loss rate until they reach level 2. Their rate will be 50 gained/25 lost against players of same level.
- The difficulty of the game will go up a notch once you gain access to the Unlimited Field, with the enemies roaming around and the almost impossible dungeons.
- Within the Unlimited Field, death caused by monsters or terrain will always yield a loss of 50BP
- Any duel that ends in a draw will not cause either party to gain or lose any burstpoint
