Abilities are unique capabilities that characters can use. The purpose of having these is to increase diversity and excitement in this roleplay.
There are 2 different types:
1) Active Abilities (Upon Ignition or Activation; Has a temporary duration and cooldown)
2) Passive Abilities (Always active)
3) Moves: Killer, Secondary, etc -> (These fall under active abilities and are reserved as "attacks" that you start off with)
At level 1, you start off with 1 Secondary Move, 1 Killer Move, and a choice of either:
1) A passive ability
2) An active ability
3) A starting EA
The Killer Move, the most powerful move of most of the avatars, will generally cost 100% of your Killer Gauge. I say generally because certain cases show that one can have a Killer Move that drains the KG bar over time, giving plenty of varieties over such moves. Note that this move cannot be upgraded through level up. You can only earn a new one which is stronguer then the previous one (Meaning if you are level 3 with one Killer move and buy a new KM, the bought KM will be stronguer then your current one. Likewise, one that uses all their upgrade points to get new KMs will have one hell of a KM in the end.)
The Secondary Move is, at it says, the second move your character is equipped with. Although it is not as powerful as a Killer Move, it can prove to be deadly in different situations. The cost to activate the Secondary Move vary from each Duel Avatars, thus making this category greatly used.
The Passive Ability is, as its name says, an ability that does not require a cost. Although some may make it trigger automatically in certain cases [Thus not always active], it will rarely drain KG (Unless the player decides it).
When leveling up, you can spend your level up bonus on one of the following:
1) A new passive ability (Obtainable only at level 1, 6 and 8 )
2) A new active ability
3) An upgrade to a passive ability
4) An upgrade to an active ability (Cannot upgrade Killer Moves)
5) A starting EA (Please refer to the EA system regarding this.)
6) An upgrade to your starting EA (Upgrading the strength of the EA (stat boost and durability), Acquiring a new ability directly for the Ea - Limited at 2 Max, or upgrading the ability in case you already have one)
Note: Specialization through this system will be rewarded accordingly. Stay in tune for bonuses if some conditions are met!
